Hurricane Katrina

It's over finally. Sort of, at least. The wind is still gusting pretty bad outside. The power is still off obviously, but we have the generator hooked up. It has been crazy ALL DAY. They said we got category 1 winds but I wouldn't doubt it if had gusted around 100 at times. I couldn't even sleep in my room cause the wind was coming from the south and kept rattling the plywood. My room was literally shaking and the door kept hitting the frame. I woke up at 5:30 and the power was out and its been off all day.

The damage is worse than Ivan from what I can tell. Our fence is blown over again, the roof is torn up on dad's workshop, the white playhouse and swing set were blown over, 40 trees are damaged in the orchard, and thats about all at my house. Me, dad, and Michael drove over to Grannys (That wasn't fun, I thought for sure Michael was going to kill us cause the wind kept pushing the truck side to side) and on the way there was a lot of damage. Trees are in my neighbors houses, trees are over the road, power lines are in the road, signs blown down, street lights dangling a few feet from the road in town, and most leaves are blown out of all the trees.

I don't have school tomorrow thank god. My car (which has my books) is still in the building outside and I don't feel like getting them to do my homework.
My god... someone has the leaf blower right outside the freaking windows. Its so annoying. Oh yeah, on the way to Grannys the smell of pine sap was overpowering. Cause all the trees are blown over. I wonder how long it'll take for everything to get back to normal. Cause on the news they said Downtown Mobile is flooded and most of roads are flooded. I'm about tired of this crap.
